
James Ryan is a specialist in the executive disability and long-term care insurance market and has expertise in managing corporate Medicare consulting programs. His clients include some of the largest investment banks and law firms in the country. He entered the insurance business in 1995.
Prior to joining Opus Private Client, LLC in 2012, Jim served as the president of Lenox Long-Term Care, a division of Lenox Advisors in New York City, for over ten years. In the area of long-erm care planning, Jim has been quoted in publications such as “AARP The Magazine” and “The Wall Street Journal.”
As a specialist in the corporate disability market, Jim has led the nation in multi-life disability sales with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. He also manages numerous high limit disability programs for corporate clients who have executives with incomes in excess of the traditional disability market.
Jim has a unique and established practice in the corporate Medicare consulting market. He is seen as the specialist resource in this field by other financial planners and benefits specialists. His clients, including one of the largest law firms in the country, retain Jim on a fee-for-service basis to provide guidance to their key employees on the interaction between Medicare and their group health plans.
Jim is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. He lives in Northport, New York, with his wife, Tara, and his three children, Jack, Casey, and Liam.
